Tommy and Marcela’s story began back in 2011 at the St. Jane de Chantal high school youth group. Tommy was a freshman, Marci a sophomore. He had a quiet crush and she thought he was cute, but neither ever said a word. For three years they remained friends, until they lost touch when Marci left for college in 2014.

Fast forward eight years—Marci found her way back to Tommy in 2022. Their first date was bowling, and by the second, Tommy finally admitted he’d always had a crush on her. To his surprise, Marci had felt the same.

Two and a half years later, Tommy got down on one knee and asked, “¿Te quieres casar conmigo?” in Marci’s native language.
